The School Bus and Charlotte
Kezia, one of the major milestones was reached last week!
For many months we have been training you to sleep at night without diaper. The deal we made with you was that you can sleep in panty and not in diaper is if you are able to not wet the diaper 5 nights in a row.
Seems not to work, as although you could do well for maybe up to 4 nights sometimes, the fifth night will be wet.
Finally we decided that on Sat 26 Sept 2009, we will take the risk. Just let you sleep in panty anyway and see how it goes from there. Since that night, it has been good and dry, without any diaper use!
Lessons learnt. We have to take the risk if we want to move to the next stage. The risk here is a wet bedsheet (we were prepared to deal with this). And the next stage became possible when we took that risk, the next stage being that now you are moving onto being even more like a little girl, rather than a toddler! We praise and thank God for every stage of your growth!
The second milestone is this week. Last night (29 Sept 2009) daddy told you that you have to choose two of your favourite toys to give to the orphans in Tanjong Pinang, Indonesia. We only give what we like because Jesus loves these little children too. And these children do not have mommy and daddy. And you made us so proud when you happily chose two of your favourite toys : Charlotte and the school bus to give to them. And you said "because Jesus loves those children too"
Praise be to God and May HE forever bless you with a heart that is filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit!
